About us 

Coffee & Jewels is an independent, female-founded jewelry brand offering a modern, stylish take on jade.

Where our jade comes from

Finding real, beautiful jade takes work. We take it on, so you don’t have to.

Finding beautiful, quality jade takes time, knowledge, and care. Quality varies widely, and look-alike stones like serpentine or dyed quartzite are often sold under the jade name. We believe that work should be ours, not yours.

At the source. We began by visiting jade suppliers in China, learning to judge stone quality by hand.

Trusted partners. Today we work with trusted suppliers in China who share our commitment to quality. Through them, we source natural nephrite jade and jadeite from China, Russia, Myanmar and Pakistan. We work closely with them to discover distinctive colors and quality jade at accessible prices.

Our standard

Natural jade, hand-selected for shade and pattern.

Natural nephrite jade only. No dyed glass, no "jade-colored" imitations, no substitutes sold under the jade name.

Type A jadeite. Our jadeite is natural, with no bleaching, polymer filling, or dye.

Choosing each stone. Natural marks, like small spots or soft veins, aren’t flaws. They’re part of what makes jade real. Still, not every mark is pretty, so we sort each stone by hand to our own standard: soft translucency, a silky, waxy luster, and even color. Stones that look chalky or dry, or carry marks that distract from the design, stay behind.

Real metals. 925 sterling silver, with select pieces in 18K gold or 24K gold plate. Unlike brass, sterling silver is a precious metal, so if the plating softens with years of wear, what’s underneath is still silver.

Every stone is its own. Slight differences in color and pattern make your piece yours.

Real support. Shipped from California, with 30-day returns and real human customer service, usually the same day.

Founder story

Why I started Coffee & Jewels

Growing up, jade was part of my cultural heritage. I've always loved its beauty and what it means, but I wanted to reimagine it beyond the traditional styles I often saw in Chinatown jewelry shops.

Before founding Coffee & Jewels, I spent years in product design in the tech industry, learning to understand customers, build thoughtful products, and bring creative ideas to life. That experience inspired me to create something of my own.

I believe jade deserves a place in modern life. It can be chic, fresh, and easy to wear without losing its timeless appeal. And because no two stones are exactly alike, your piece is yours alone.

Coffee & Jewels brings together my cultural roots, my personal aesthetic, and my love for thoughtful design.
