Founder story

I spent years designing products at one of the world's biggest tech companies. Meaningful work, high bar, everything you'd want on paper. But somewhere in the middle of it all, a quieter question kept surfacing: what do I really want to do with my life?

I wanted to build something of my own. Design things I truly loved. And get close to real customers — close enough to see what moves them, what doesn't, what they'd never tell a product manager in a survey but show clearly in how they shop.

Jade was the answer.

I'd always loved it — the weight, the depth of color, the quiet confidence it carries. But shopping for a piece I actually wanted to wear was always the same frustration. The jade market is murky: quality varies wildly, and too many sellers pass off alternative stones — serpentine, aventurine, dyed quartzite — under the jade name. Real, natural nephrite jade with affordable pricing and modern design rarely exist. That bothered me deeply.

So I went looking myself. Traveled to Asia, visited the source, learned to evaluate stone quality with my own hands. Natural, untreated, no substitutes — that became the only standard we'd accept.

But I didn't want to just sell jade. I wanted to reimagine it.

That's where coffee comes in. Coffee is effortless, everyday, quietly elegant — a small ritual that makes an ordinary morning feel considered. That's exactly the lifestyle I wanted to design for: modern, unhurried, understated luxury. Jade with the same energy. Pieces you reach for without thinking, that work at your desk, at dinner, on a Sunday morning. Beautiful without trying too hard. Real without costing a fortune.
